Inflammatory

Inflammatory refers to the site of an infection where there has been an abnormal growth in bacterial culture. When this happens, white blood cells rush to the site to fight off infection. The result is an englargening of the region of the infection accompanied buy soreness and dead white blood cells.

When this occurs to a follicle, the result is a pimple, also known as a papule, or pustule.
